Seven Dimensions of Wellness

Seven Dimensions of WellnessOur Philosophy of Wellness focuses on programming unique to each person – wellness is not only physical activity, but health for the whole person.

We work hard to develop multi-dimensional, dynamic and creative programming to fulfill all seven dimensions of member wellness:
  1. Social: Get to know other members to share interests, goals and camaraderie. From pot luck dinners to Reds games, dinner excursions or museum trips, members are a tight-knit social group who enjoy this amazing aspect of our wellness program.

  2. Environmental:  Surround yourself with stimulating and welcoming spaces. With beautiful outdoor areas, walking paths and educational discussions about the environment, we believe that maintaining a close connection with your surroundings contributes largely to overall well-being.

  3. Vocational:  Participate or volunteer throughout the community – everywhere from the Colonial Schools to the Activities Department. Time spent giving a helping hand, knowledge or experience is uniquely rewarding.

  4. Spiritual: Experience the affirmation and positive influence a nature walk or spiritual message can have. From posted messages or an outside stroll, we help you maintain an inspired and open spirit.

  5. Emotional: Depend upon our network to lend support or motivation at any time through a variety of programs. We provide a network of coping mechanisms as well as positive, experienced employees ready to listen and help when needed.

  6. Intellectual: Learning never stops! Continue to enrich and challenge your life with new skills and ideas. We help enhance members’ lives through a variety of new and on-going presentations for furthering a life of learning.

  7. Physical: Choose group classes, individual support and training, or pain-easing courses in this modern facility available for all your fitness needs. Small enough for one-on-one support, experienced enough for group aquatic classes, specialized enough for arthritis-easing sessions.
